We had been using our spare room as a storage room/office for the past two years, but have now started the process of turning it into a nursery for our baby boy, due in February. Step 1 was to empty it out and next week we will begin painting. It's a small, odd shaped room that is pretty narrow, so I don't have a ton of space, but will try to use it wisely. I have visions of white furniture, a nautical themed mural and matching bedding and accessories. Stay tuned for Phase 2!

That wooden floor is gorgous! I'll be checking in to see what you'll do with the room!
1The floor is great and so is the mural! Don't OD on the furniture
2So cute! We also had a small office that we turned into our son's room, and we used wall decals of clouds and airplanes and painted the room a light yellow. I agree with jennibean to not put too much furniture in the room. Crib, changing table and armoir. Good luck! A small ceiling fan that matches the beautitful floor might also be a nice idea since putting an AC in a little room like that will freeze your child in the summer.
3the mural is adorable
4What a beautiful room - and what baby wouldn't want to be lulled off to sleep with the gorgeous view!
5Gorgeous!
6Thanks everybody! I definitely plan to keep the furniture to a minimum. There is really only room for a crib, a changing table and a rocking chair. As soon as I get all that, I will post the pics!
